Victory in Europe Day, or VDay is the day of Remembrance in Kiev, Ukraine, the 8th of May 2017.  The formal end of World War II in Europe.  Official acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces. On April 9, 2015, the Ukrainian Parliament set up the date of May 8 as the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation; this law was passed in accordance with the respective UN resolution of 2004.
